The story in this stone

Looking at this one-of-a-kind cabochon, you can see the light brown matrix wrapping around a vivid pocket of opal fire, flashing green, yellow, blue, purple and orange as the light hits it. The oval stone sits in a hand-wrapped bezel with a rope-style silver border, and the bail has a simple hammered finish that keeps the focus on the stone.
