Our opals
Where they come from
Our fire opals are sourced from our mines in Mexico. They are natural stones, not laboratory-grown or synthetic, and we do not treat or dye them to alter their color.
Why no two stones are alike
Fire opal forms with natural variation in its matrix, its clarity, and the way it plays with light. The color zoning, inclusions, and flashes you see in a stone's photographs are part of that individual stone — not a defect, and not something we can reproduce in a second piece.
Caring for your opal
Opal is softer than many gemstones. Keep it away from perfume, lotion, and household chemicals, remove it before swimming or sleeping, and avoid ultrasonic cleaners. Store each piece separately and polish the metal with a soft cloth.
